Chodesh Sivan Tov!

Rosh Chodesh ‪Sivan Tov!

Sivan is the month associated with the Zodiac Sign of Gemini and the Tribe of Zebulon. Gemini - "The Twins" - is the only Zodiac Sign whose symbol is exclusively human and specifically androgynous, in that the male and female are both equally represented in this Mutable Air (Transforming Thought) sign.

How perfect is that as a symbol for the month during which we celebrate the giving of the Torah to ALL Am Yisrael - men and women alike? The Kiruvim ("Cherubim") atop the Holy Ark in the Tabernacle are "The Twins" - male and female - who face each other and whose wings touch and it is from between those wings, atop the Ark, that G*d speaks to us. G*d speaks to us from the space where male and female energies meet. The gift of Torah is for everyone.
